Understanding my schedule

The MatxFlow mobile app dashboard lets technicians see the work orders assigned to them and follow the work to be done during their day.

Dashboard overview

It is the starting point for organizing work orders, finding the tickets that need action and following their progress.

The schedule shown depends on the selected date and on the actual state of the work orders. A ticket scheduled for a given date can be handled earlier. Once the technician completes it, it does not reappear on later days just because its original scheduled date is later.

Understanding ticket statuses

Statuses show where each work order stands.

Status shownMeaningShown in the schedule
ScheduledA work date has been set.On the scheduled date, if the ticket has not started yet.
LoadedThe ticket has been synchronized with the mobile app.On the scheduled date, if the ticket has not started yet.
In progressThe technician has started the work order.In today's schedule, whatever the original scheduled date.
PausedThe work order has been temporarily interrupted.In today's schedule for as long as it stays paused.
CompletedThe technician has finished the work.On the day the technician completes the work order.

The administrative closure of the ticket plays no part in how the technician's schedule is displayed.

What is shown for the selected date

The schedule distinguishes three situations.

Viewing a past day

For a past date, only tickets whose work was completed on that day are shown.

Work orders that were scheduled or in progress on that date but completed on another day are not shown again in the past schedule.

Viewing today

Today's schedule shows:

  • tickets scheduled for today that have not started yet;
  • loaded tickets scheduled for today that have not started yet;
  • work orders currently in progress;
  • paused work orders;
  • work orders completed today.

In-progress or paused work orders can appear today even if their original scheduled date is earlier or later.

Viewing a future day

For a future day, only tickets with the Scheduled or Loaded status whose scheduled date matches the selected day are shown.

A work order that has already started or been completed therefore does not reappear on future days.

Example: a work order done earlier than planned

  • The ticket is scheduled for October 23, 2026.
  • The technician starts the work order on October 22, 2026.
  • They complete the work on October 22, 2026.

The ticket does not reappear on October 23, because the work has already been done.

Date viewedTicket situationShown
October 21, 2026The work order has not been carried out yet.No
October 22, 2026The technician starts and then completes the work order.Yes
October 23, 2026The original scheduled date is reached, but the work is already completed.No
October 24, 2026The work order is already completed.No
Key point

The scheduled date indicates when a work order is planned, but it does not make an already completed ticket reappear.

Example: a work order spanning several days

Another ticket is scheduled on October 20, 2026. The technician starts the work on October 20, continues it and completes it on October 22.

Date viewedTicket situationShown
October 20, 2026The work order starts.Yes, if the ticket needs action that day.
October 21, 2026The technician continues the work.Yes, if the ticket is still in progress that day.
October 22, 2026The technician completes the work order.Yes, because the work is completed that day.
October 23, 2026The work is already completed.No

Today's schedule therefore reflects the work orders that actually need action or have just been completed, rather than repeating the same tickets on every date of their scheduling period.

What happens when a work order is completed?

When technicians finish a work order, they record the end of the work in the app. The ticket then moves to the Completed status.

From that point:

  • the ticket appears in the schedule of the day the work was completed;
  • it no longer appears on the following days;
  • it is not shown on past days before its actual completion date.

If new work is needed after completion, a new ticket is created by duplication, following the process defined in MatxFlow. The completed ticket is not reopened for the technician.

Key points

  1. The schedule shows tickets according to the day viewed.
  2. The scheduled date does not replace the work actually done.
  3. In-progress and paused work orders are visible in today's schedule.
  4. A completed work order appears on the day the technician finishes the work.
  5. A completed work order does not come back on the following days.
  6. New work requires a new ticket if the job has to be resumed.

MatxFlow thus helps technicians focus on the day's work orders, without confusing the planned schedule with the history of their work.
